The Next Step in Your Therapy Career

The Accelerate Graduate Program Experience

Our Graduate Development Pathway

The Way We Support Your Growth

The Therapy Choice Accelerate Graduate Program is intended to aid in the transition from being a graduate to a professional therapist, with a strong focus on confidence, capability, and real world practice.

We understand that starting a career as a new graduate can be intimidating, but our program’s wrap-around support model and structured six-month program will speed up your learning and prepare you for success.

The program focuses on helping recent graduates to develop comprehensive clinical skills through a mix of self-directed activities, group sessions, guest speakers, masterclasses, supervision with experienced senior therapists, mentoring and buddy opportunities, and professional coaching.

Why joining the Accelerate Graduate Program

You are not just starting a job, you are becoming part of a supportive community that invests in your growth, values your contribution, and encourages you to build a sustainable and fulfilling career in therapy and professional practice.

You will be introduced to your new team and have the opportunity to learn from individuals across our clinics. The goal is for you to feel like you belong and are able to succeed in your position.

You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced clinicians in various disciplines by observing sessions with clients, either in-person or through telehealth therapy.

We take a holistic approach to your personal and professional growth. Our coaching program supports you to focus on areas of development and follow a personalised pathway to build your knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours as a therapist.

As a recent graduate, you will receive discipline specific supervision from an experienced clinician, along with regular contact and guidance from your lead therapist.

You will be supported by a strong multidisciplinary team, with access to a wide range of therapy specific colleagues and therapists outside your immediate clinical area.

The program encourages professional relationships, friendships, and networking by building connections with colleagues in the Graduate Program and across the entire Therapy Choice team. There are opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration and client work, as well as training and support to build external relationships with stakeholders in the therapy field.

Designed to Support Your Success

Wrap-Around Support and Wellbeing

Having access to a wrap around support model that is designed to support you as a whole person, not just as a clinician. This approach ensures you feel fulfilled, well supported, and able to maintain your health and wellbeing as you grow into your role, with the right balance between learning, clinical work, and self care.

Enjoy the flexibility to work part time or full time, with the autonomy and trust to structure your day in a way that works best for you. This flexibility allows you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments, while feeling supported to manage your workload in a sustainable and realistic way.

Having a strong emphasis on team connection, with dedicated funding for team activities and access to Connection Hubs that encourage face to face interaction. These opportunities support meaningful relationships, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging, even when working across different locations.

Gaining experience working with a diverse range of clients while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will have opportunities to work with clients through both community based and telehealth assessments and interventions, helping you build confidence across different settings, presentations, and modes of service delivery.

Having lower billable time targets that allow you the space to learn, reflect, and develop your skills without unnecessary pressure. This approach gives you more time to grow clinically, seek guidance, and build strong connections with clients and colleagues.

Having access to a generous annual professional development allowance that supports your ongoing learning and career progression. This allows you to invest in training, courses, and learning opportunities that align with your interests, goals, and areas of clinical growth.
